UCLA Women’s volleyball opened their home schedule with a frustrating loss. They suffered a five set reverse sweep against Purdue on October 2, 2025. After winning the first two sets, the Bruins had a chance to win with four match points in the third set, but could not close it out. Purdue used the momentum shift to win in five tightly contested sets 17-25, 22-25, 29-27, 25-23, 15-11. Purdue’s Junior outside hitter Kenna Wollard dominated offensively, collecting a career high 33 kills which accounted for more than 50% of the team’s offensive output. Purdue opposite Grace Heaney contributed 11 kills while UCLA used a more balanced offense as four Bruins had double digit kills. They were led by outside hitters Eliana Urzua (22 kills) and Cheridyn Leverette (17 kills).
