UCLA Men’s Volleyball hosted crosstown rival USC at Pauley Pavilion on April 17, 2025 for their last home match of the season. The Bruins prevailed in a hard fought five set battle 22-25, 25-22, 25-17, 23-25, 15-11. UCLA was led by pin hitter Cooper Robinson who had a career high 25 kills, hitting .537. Zach Rama (19 kills, .533) and Sean Kelly (13 kills, .273) also excelled, but middles Cameron Thorne and Sean McQuiggan both hit negative as USC focused on stopping their attacks. Setter Andrew Rowan was still able to lead UCLA to a .372 hitting percentage.

USC got 11 kills each from pin hitter Dillon Klein and substitute opposite Christian Connell. Regular starting opposite Jack Deuchar seemed to be suffering from a back or abdominal injury and played ineffectively when on the court. Trojan middle hitter Parker Tomkinson was solid with 8 kills hitting .467. Pin hitter Sterling Foley added 6 kills. The teams play again at Galen Center on Saturday April 19 to conclude the regular season. Both teams will compete in the MPSF playoffs at Pepperdine in Malibu, CA starting on April 23. The winner of the playoffs will get an automatic entry into the NCAA Championships in Columbus, Ohio beginning on May 8.
