Good afternoon SANDCAST fans!

As always, we hope everyone had a great week on the beach or in the mountains or surfing or whatever gets you out of the house.

Tri and Travis had an absolute blast this week, sitting down with one of the world’s leading high performance psychologists, Michael Gervais. If you haven’t listened to it, PLEASE DO! We cannot recommend it enough. Click the picture or headline below to listen, watch, and read the feature write-up on

Travis Mewhirter-Tim Brewster

Travis Mewhirter, Tim Brewster win Itapema country quota

There’s just something about Mewhirter and country quotas that he seems to enjoy. In May, he and Adam Roberts stunned Chaim Schalk and Theo Brunner in the country quota in the Sochi four-star — you can read Mewhirter’s write-up about that here — and on Tuesday, he did it again. Mewhirter and Tim Brewster put together some lefty-lefty magic against Billy Allen and Andy Benesh, winning 22-20, 21-18 to earn their spot in the upcoming Itapema four-star.

SANDCAST Friday mini episodes make their debut

For a long, long time, we’ve been tinkering with the idea of repurposing some of our best content and clips and turning them into mini episodes, as so many of the top podcasts do. We just haven’t had the time. Now that off-season is almost upon us — damn Itapema! — we have a bit more free time to take down many of the projects we’ve intended to for so long. Project No. 1 is the mini episodes, which made their debut this Friday, with Bourne, Mewhirter, and Savvy Simo pontificating on who might partner with whom in 2022.

These mini episodes, however, are only made available on YouTube, so you’ll have to subscribe to our channel to get them 🙂
