Good evening, SANDCAST fans,
After Anders Mol and Christian Sorum won another Beach Pro Tour Finals last week in Doha, I was on court with the Norwegians, mic in hand. Prior to us going live on VBTV for our on-court interview, Anders said he’s ready for a long, much-deserved vacation.

The beach news is slow this week — but when the beach itself gets slow, that means that the major decision-makers in the sport are about to hit their mid-season, finalizing schedules, refiguring formats, etc. Which is why this week’s podcast, with Maddison and Jameson McKibbin, is so on point, chatting about the first year of the AVP League, what went right, what went wrong, and what we might be able to expect come 2025.

This week’s podcast featured the McKibbin Bros, only the second of which, Jameson, you might not yet recognize. He’s bearded, in a normal sort of way, not quite as hirsute as Maddison or thick as Riley, but he’s certainly no clean-shaven kid. Fits right in. And he fits right in with the pod.
