Good evening, beach volleyball fans,
I hope y’all had the best Christmas and are still enjoying some time with family and sleeping in before the New Year’s Resolutions begin and the alarms are at 5 and you’re working out like fiends and detoxing and all the rest.
As a belated Christmas present, and by complete accident — we call that serendipity — we have evidently saved our best mic’d up of the year for last, with Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson. Even though we’re a podcast with a 78% USA demographic, Mel and Brandie might be our most popular guests. Judging from the early feedback on their mic’d up, it’s a tie between them and Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth.
There is no doubt, however, as to who has owned the most minutes on this podcast, and that is the very founder of the podcast, Tri Bourne. This week’s episode centers on him and his new partnership, with good friend of the show — content dream team! — Evan Cory.
The week in SANDCAST Studios
This past week’s podcast Evan Cory, one of the can’t-miss talents making his way up the USA pipeline, a recent gold medalist at the Haikou Challenge, and also Tri Bourne’s new partner. This one passed the car test for me: Since I didn’t host the episode, I got to experience it as a listener and fan. When I was driving back from the gym, I had 10 minutes left so I just parked and was interested enough to finish it while sitting in the car. It’s that good:
Melissa Humana-Paredes, Brandie Wilkerson mic’d up!
As part of our growing collaboration with Beach Volleyball World, we have a ton of fun things coming down the pipe. Fantasy beach volleyball? Happened at the Rio Elite16 and the Beach Pro Tour Finals. International podcasts? More of them coming. Mic’d up content? You know it!
We put some mics on Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson during their pool play win over Cinja Tillmann and Svenja Muller at the Beach Pro Tour Finals, and it was as you’d expect: so dang awesome.
